Lauren D. Smith is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified Supervisor in the state of Texas. She holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing from Texas A&M University and a Masters in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary.
Lauren completed her 3000 hours of internship by working as a contract therapist at Dallas Theological Seminary in their counseling department as well as with several nonprofit community agencies in Dallas working primarily with adolescents and women in crisis. Her background working at Kanakuk Kamps and in full time ministry at various churches helped her hone her skills with children, adolescents and families. Lauren has been in private practice at Campbell Counseling Group for 4 years and has over 14 years of experience counseling teens and families. She uses an integrative approach to counseling recognizing the importance of psychology and Biblical principles being used in the counseling relationship to help her clients meet their treatment goals. She sees clients from age 12 and older in individual settings as well as couples who are working through relationship issues. She is an active member of American Association of Christian Counselors and Head Female Counselor for Camp Erin, a grief camp for children. She was a frequent panel member and co-host on the CounselingWorks Now radio show.

Lauren’s fee for counseling is $110 per 50 minute session. Premarital counseling is offered through the Prepare Enrich curriculum and has a reduced session fee. She is in network with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Texas insurance and provides documentation to file out-of-network with other insurance companies.
